Getting Started

My goal is to make the process of therapy as efficient and convenient as possible. To get started, the first step is to contact me to schedule a complementary 20-minute phone consultation.

During this call, I will ask you to share a little about the concerns you are having, your goals, and I welcome you to ask questions about my services and how I may be able to help you. For couples, I strongly recommend both partners be present during the initial phone consultation.

If it feels like a good fit for both of us, I will provide you access to a secure online portal where you may review my policies in more detail (including my privacy policy and Good Faith Estimate) prior to the first appointment. Through the client portal, you may also send confidential communications, share and sign documents, and pay for therapy sessions.

Fees & Insurance

Fees
Fees vary based on the type of service (e.g., individual therapy vs. couples therapy) and length of appointment. I accept payment by credit card, FSA or HSA cards, and check. My fees are consistent with highly skilled psychologists and Certified Gottman Therapists in the San Francisco Bay Area; we will discuss fees in more detail during the phone consultation.

Cancellation Policy
You will be responsible for paying the full appointment fee at the time of your appointment unless you provide 2 days (48 hours) advance notice of cancellation, or were unable to provide advance notice due to an unanticipated circumstance that could reasonably be considered an emergency.

Insurance
I am in-network for Lyra Health and am considered an out-of-network provider for all other insurance. If you have a health plan that covers out-of-network providers, I can provide you with a monthly statement that you may submit to your insurance for fee reimbursement. It is your responsibility to determine what insurance benefits you receive for out-of-network video psychotherapy and obtaining reimbursement; I strongly recommend determining your coverage -prior- to starting therapy.
